‘Bridgerton’ Fans Spend Hundreds On Themed Event, End Up Eating Candy Bars On Ground While Watching Lone Stripper

According to WBCK, the “Bridgerton”-themed party was originally scheduled to take place on August 25 but was canceled days before due to venue issues. This unfortunate experience marks the second time that die-hard fans have been disappointed.

“Honestly, I just want my money back,” Faye, of Grosse Pointe, told WXYZ as she stood outside the club late Sunday dressed in a themed costume.

“The description said it was going to be a Bridgerton night, where we'd listen to classical music, have a delicious dinner, there would be a play and they would be naming the Diamond Award of the season. They were going to give out prizes, but when we got there it was completely empty,” Mathis, an avid fan, said, according to WXYZ.

“There's nothing going on. There's just a pole in the middle of the dance floor,” she said, before adding, “We got limos, we did a bunch of stuff, and basically emptied the building.”

Event organizers Uncle N Me LLC released a statement Tuesday addressing the backlash.

“We understand that everyone's recent event at Harmony Club on Sunday night did not provide the experience they had hoped for, and for that we sincerely apologize,” they told WXYZ.

“While our aim was to provide a magical evening, we recognise that organisational issues affected the enjoyment of some guests. We take full responsibility for these shortcomings,” they said.
