Britney Spears took to Instagram on Monday to inform her fans that she suffered severe burns in a freak accident.
The famous pop star spoke with a British accent in a selfie video and talked about a “really, really dangerous” situation she endured six months ago.
“I was in my room and I lit a fire and all of a sudden my face burst into flames. It's happened to me before,” Spears told fans. She went on to say that she suffered severe burns across her face during the incident.
Spears explained how the situation unfolded.
“When I used to do it, I stopped doing it, so I always have security come and light it because I'm afraid it's going to explode,” Spears admitted.
This time, she decided to complete the job herself, but according to Spears, things didn't go as planned.
“And now I just threw everything in there and it literally blew up in my face!” she said.

“All the eyelashes and eyebrows are gone and you can see this baby hair, baby bangs. This is basically from six months ago,” she told fans while showing her burnt hair.
She said the person she was with at the time “didn't wake up” when she needed to.
“My face looked like it was on fire, like third- and second-degree burns,” Spears said.
“It hurt just to touch the ice, whatever it was, to the face.”

Spears said the pain lasted six to seven hours.
She ended up taking three Tylenol tablets.
“Tylenol is really important to me, like Vicodin or something!” she said. (Related: Sid Wilson vows to perform live despite severe burns)
