Senator Katie Britt recently signed new legislation that she believes is essential to establishing America's energy independence and security now and in the future.

Under the new law, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission would have full authority over the approval process, Britt said.
Britt said the bill comes after President Biden and the Department of Energy “gave a major victory to both President Vladimir Putin and far-left climate change activists by suspending approval of pending applications for U.S. LNG exports.” said it became necessary.

Two weeks ago, the Biden administration suspended approval of pending applications for LNG exports.
US gas exports have more than quadrupled over the past decade, making the US the world's largest exporter of natural gas.
