As football season approaches, more and more out-of-territory action is happening, and Northeast Ohio is no exception. Just ask the Cleveland Browns quarterback. Deshaun Watson,recently host He competed in the annual high school 7-on-7 tournament and won with Berea-Midpark High School.
One of the high school football teams involved was the Glenville Tarblooders, coached by Ted Ginn Sr. The team won the 2023 state championship. (Related article: Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams hint at a possible reunion, I refuse to join this party)
Last December, Glenville defeated Archbishop Kettering 38-3 to win the title, and it was their second consecutive title.
Watson spent time with each of the high school teams at the tournament, but things were a little different with Glenville. Not only did the high school students share some laughs with Watson, they also presented him with their state championship rings.
Watson was grateful for that. In fact, he was so grateful that he made his kids a sweet promise: Super Bowl rings.
