Last night, America witnessed a defining moment in our political history — a debate not just a forum for debate, but a glimpse into our nation's future.
Former President Donald Trump, with his natural energy and unwavering commitment to America, left no doubt as to who was best qualified to lead the country forward. Democrats, ostensibly desperate to maintain control, are in total panic. And with good reason. (Related: My seven minutes onstage with Trump were amazing in every way.)
Joe Biden's speech last night was a reminder of just how important the issues are. It wasn't a deepfake or a cheap trick. The nation as a whole saw it for itself.
Biden seemed clearly behind the times, a relic of a bygone era rather than a leader of tomorrow. His age and obvious cognitive decline cannot be ignored.
As the world becomes more interconnected and unstable than ever before, we need a President who is astute, decisive and in full command of his abilities. Last night proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Biden is not that kind of leader; President Trump is.
In contrast, President Trump has demonstrated the energy, determination, and tireless commitment to putting America first that are his hallmarks as President. His policies have delivered historic economic growth, redefined trade relations in America's favor, and restored our military strength.
The contrast with Biden's record was not just striking but reprehensible: While Biden struggled to articulate a coherent policy, Trump offered a clear, actionable plan for continuing America's successful trajectory.
The Democratic Party is in disarray, and it's easy to see why: Their candidates are glaringly inadequate.
They are now resorting to desperate measures to distort the narrative and distract from the obvious truth: Joe Biden is too old and infirm to serve in the presidency.
This is not an issue of ageism, it's an issue of competence. The American people deserve a President who can rise to the demands of the job, handle a crisis with confidence, and take to the world stage without hesitation.
Biden's performance demonstrated that he is not up to the task.
President Trump's debate performance reaffirmed his commitment to the American people. He highlighted the accomplishments of his Administration and laid out a bold vision for the future.
From rebuilding our economy after COVID-19 to securing our border to strengthening our national security, President Trump's plan is rooted in a deep love for this country and a desire to see it thrive.
The stakes couldn't be higher. The choices couldn't be clearer.
The American people deserve a President who is a dynamic leader, not just a figurehead. President Trump has proven himself time and time again to be that leader. Last night's debate was more than just a political event; it was a clear demonstration that America's future is bright under President Trump's leadership.
As Democrats panic and panic, we the American people must remain strong. We have seen the truth with our own eyes.
Now it is our responsibility to ensure that the future of our great nation is in capable hands, and President Trump is ready, willing and able to continue the job for America.
The choice is clear: four more years of President Donald J. Trump.
