Buckskin Izakayalies under new ownership and control, just above the state line from Kanab in Fredonia, Arizona. New owners Taylor and Stephanie encourage you to enjoy the hospitality. Taylor and Stephanie travelled to southern Utah for their entire lives and now live in Fredonia. With a hospitality background, they add a full menu of home-made tavern food to complement the Buckskin drinks service and historic atmosphere. Opening hours will expand seven days a week from April until noon until closing, and the kitchen will be open for all hours. Join us for lunch!

The new menu includes house smoked pull pork sandwiches with homemade coleslaw and Carolina mustard sauce, a well-known back burger, award-winning firefighter chili, fries, nachos and other tavern fairs. It also features amazing vegetarian and vegan options.

The Buckskin Tavern was first built in 1934 on the Utah/Arizona border. MiltCram was catering to cowboys and local ranchers. Considering how difficult it is to drink drinks in Utah, taverns were a welcome addition to the area. Crossing the border, buckskins have become a popular watering hole for many locals, travelers, visitors and filmmakers who have visited Kanab and Fredonia. After closing in 2020 with Covid, Buckskin reopened its doors in early 2023, enlivening the place and maintaining its charm from past its charm.

They have an outdoor beer garden with incredible views, looking west over the cliffs of Vermilion, which adds a live band performance.
