In a wild face-saving move, Bud Light is teaming up with popular comedian and former cancellation survivor Shane Gillis in an unlikely brand deal, both sides announced on Instagram.
Gillis, who was hired by Saturday Night Live and fired shortly after a joke on his podcast was discovered by the people who made it, announced the deal on his show. Instagram page.
“Excited to announce our partnership with Budlight #budlightpartner,” Gillis wrote.
The deal came shortly after appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience. There, Gillis and Rogan bitterly fought over whether Bud Light could rehabilitate its image in the wake of the Dylan Mulvaney accident.
“It's become a joke,” Gillis told Logan. “Marketing-wise, that's hard to overcome. It's hard to get people to order Bud Light in public. You'll get made fun of.”
“No brand has ever been hit this hard.”

Now, Shane, guess who we're going to make fun of!
Mr. Gillis' recruitment was made a joke Bud Light gave it a perfect 180 for its comedy special about transgender people and their sympathizers. They are clearly continuing to try and do damage control after losing significant market share following their partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
a report from The Hill estimates that the company lost $27 billion in market value from April 2023 to June 2023, when Mulvaney's sponsorship was announced. Parent company Anheuser-Busch reportedly fired the marketing executive responsible for Mulvaney's decision in June.
Then, in October, Bud Light signed a nine-figure deal with the UFC, making it the largest partnership in history. (Related: 'Bend the knee': Megyn Kelly rants against Bud Light, criticizes Kid Rock and Dana White)
The company clearly wants to make itself loved again, not just by conservatives but by ordinary Americans who are tired of having the transgender agenda shoved in their faces. It's a great move, and perhaps a sign that America is ready to move forward.
Kid Rock, who sparked a boycott after firing a loaded gun during the Bud Light incident in April, announced in December that he wanted to be fired from the beer brand and co-founded the Daily Caller. Mr. Tucker Carlson said: As a lesson, they say, “We made a mistake.” Okay, man, let's move on. ” (Related article: 'F You Guys': Kid Rock says he faced off against Anheuser-Busch CEO in UFC fight)
Other than Bud Light's big image problem, this deal makes sense. In fact, Mr. Gillis may be the biggest consumer of their products. During Joe Rogan's marathon recording of his experience, he regularly removes more than 20 of his lights at once.
For Gillis, this is a nice consolation prize after missing out on hosting The Daily Show.
just kidding! But seriously, he's the perfect candidate for me for this job. Although he is clearly not a Republican, Gillis joked that his obsession with his history is a sign of “early republicanism.” He often talks about his family being full of die-hard Trump supporters, including his father. As for Bud Light…I haven't tried it yet. If you really care, come out and support Trump 2024, Bud Light.
