It's just the New York Jets…
Dysfunctional team seems ready to move on from its quarterback woes zach wilsonAccording to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
It's no surprise to us that the Jets have wanted to part ways with him for a while (especially since they acquired Aaron Rodgers), given that Rapoport reports the Jets will try to make a trade. , it seems the time has finally come. He was the No. 2 overall pick in the offseason draft.
Wilson was elected out of New York nearly three years ago and has never lived up to the hype. In his three seasons with the Jets, he accomplished the following: Played in 33 games with a losing record of 12 wins and 21 losses.. And hell, even if Wilson plays well, he's still bad. For example, let's take 2022. He led the Jets to five wins in nine starts, but even in that winning record Wilson played badly, with more interceptions than touchdowns in that run. (Related: Arthur Smith slams Dennis Allen with F-bomb following totally unnecessary (but hilarious) touchdown)
And in the end he went back to being trash, and because he was trash, he was comically demoted to third-team.
Wilson was able to throw more touchdowns than interceptions this season (8 vs. 7, LOL), but nothing short of a 4-7 record as a starter for the Jets. Unable to do so, he was benched again.
Just trash…I can see why New York wants to run him out of town.
