Florida Republican Rep. Byron Donald on Tuesday accused Democrats of relying on “fear mongering” and “gaslighting” on Fox News.
in exterior On “The Ingraham Angle,” Donalds accused Democrats of attacking former President Donald Trump in an effort to distract from what he described as failures of the Biden administration. Mr. Donald pulled no punches with his criticism, pointing directly at Vice President Kamala Harris and claiming she has no real accomplishments to discuss on the campaign trail.
“I expect nothing but fear-mongering from Kamala Harris, because that’s all she has. She can’t talk about the border. She broke it. She can’t talk about the economy. She can’t talk about foreign policy. She ruined it. She can’t talk about foreign policy,” Donald told Laura Ingraham. “It’s a mess. And she can’t even talk about her work with Joe Biden over the last three and a half years because he’s not even allowed to attend this rally 200 yards from the White House. So all she can do is stir up fear against Donald Trump.”
Donalds characterized Harris as trying to reclaim the narrative of change, despite her track record of playing a central role in administrations. In his view, Harris’ current campaign fails to resonate with voters who want practical solutions.
“All she has is a salad of words. But Donald Trump is the one who is going to rebuild America and make America great again. So expect some fear-mongering and some projection.” “That’s all you get,” Donald continued.
Donald also argued that the Democratic strategy lacks credibility and relies on undermining President Trump’s character. (Related: ‘Are you insane?’: Byron Donald slams CNBC host over Trump rally at Madison Square Garden)
“Three weeks ago it was full of joy and exuberance. Now it’s all attacking Donald Trump, calling him Hitler and calling his supporters fascists. We’re Laura’s Madison.” I was at the Square Garden, and it was great to meet you there. It was a great night. There were people like me, Vivek Ramaswami, Death Row Records founder Harry O,” Donald explained.
“We spoke at that rally. Do you think the Nazis would have two black men and a Hindu man speak at a rally? Absolutely not. But that’s all they have. The constant fear-mongering and gaslighting is enough,” Donald said.
Harris called Trump a fascist during a CNN town hall just days before the election. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Harris cited warnings from former White House chief of staff John Kelly and others that Trump’s return to the presidency could lead to authoritarian rule.
