Police in Bullhead City have investigated reports that officers went to the Silverview RV Resort on Friday and a man wearing a bulletproof vest pointed a gun at people.
BULLHEAD CITY, Arizona — A bystander was shot at during a shootout between a suspect and officers at an RV park in northwest Arizona, officials said.

The suspect shot the officer from inside the trailer, who returned fire, police said in a statement. One of the suspect’s bullets ripped through another trailer and “hit an innocent bystander.”
The victim was taken to a Las Vegas hospital, about 95 miles (152 km) north, where he survived. No officers were injured.
Police on Saturday identified the suspect as Kyle Schaefer, 41, of Bullhead City, but did not disclose the charges he may face.
Police said Shaffer was trapped in a trailer for nearly eight hours before surrendering and being taken into custody. He was also taken to a Las Vegas hospital with unspecified injuries.
Bullhead City is located on the Arizona side of the Colorado River near the intersection of Nevada and California. About 41,000 people live there.
An outside agency, the Lake Havasu City Police Department, will investigate the Bullhead City Police Department shooting in line with the Department’s protocol for officers firing weapons.
