On Monday morning, a dire situation occurred on Highway 89 near Townsend-Winona Road east of Flagstaff. KAFF News tipper Kelly said he was filling up with gas at the Konoko Station on Highway 89 at around 8:20 a.m. when he saw a car with a man about to board. . The woman fell over the steering wheel. At least three people, including herself, participated in the attempt to stop the vehicle. She said she and a few others were able to get the woman up when the noise stopped. A Coconino County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived shortly thereafter and began rescuing the woman. A number of paramedics soon arrived to take over, she said. While this was happening, Kelly told us that a woman had arrived and started hailing people trying to help. The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office said the woman may have had a medical condition and there were no signs of drugs or alcohol. She was confirmed dead on the spot.
