C3 Metals Receives Drill Permit for Main Ridge Copper-Gold Project in Jamaica

Main Ridge, adjacent to a gold mine that once produced pennants

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Newsfile Corp. – May 2, 2023)- C3 Metals Co., Ltd. (TSXV: CCCM) (OTCQB: CUAUF) (“C3 Metals” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has received approval to commence exploration drilling at its wholly owned Main Ridge Project in Jamaica. The Main Ridge project covers 3,000 hectares and is located adjacent to the former production Pennants Gold Mine and west of the company’s Arthurs Seat project (Figure 1). The Main Ridge Drilling Permit is valid until April 2028.

Dan Simmons, President and CEO, said: On the Main Ridge, two separate mineralized structures over 4 km long were identified either along the trend or in close proximity to the previous producing Pennant Gold Mine. The main ridge project surrounds the pennant with pits to the west, north and east. You have identified your target.

Main Ridge Project Highlights

  • Rock chip and soil sampling along the Bennett Fault defined a consistent gold anomaly extending 4 km southeast and northwest of the Old Pennant Gold Mine (Fig. 2).

  • The Rio Minho fault is host to strong copper-silver mineralization defined on a strike length of 4 km. Channel sample results include the following (Figure 2):

Lock both chip assay and channel sampling results above 1% copper.

About Pennant gold mines produced in the past

The Pennant Gold Mine is a reported Non-Compliant NI 43-101 Historic Mineral Resource of 75,500 tons at 20.4 grams/tonne gold and was operated as an open pit mine from 2002 to 2004.2,3Operators reported past high-grade drill crossings 1.7 m at 430.0 g/t gold and 4.6 m at 25.6 g/t gold From the mine (drilling results are historical and not independently confirmed)Four.

About C3 Metals

C3 Metals Inc. is a junior mineral exploration company focused on creating substantial value through the discovery and development of large-scale copper and gold deposits. The company owns his 26,800-hectare jasperoid project in the prolific, high-grade Andahuaylas-Yauli Porphyry-Skarn Belt of southern Peru. Jasperoid mineralization occurs in geological settings similar to the major mining operations at nearby Ras Bambas (MMG), Constantia (Hadbay) and Antapaccay (Glencore). C3 Metals also holds a 100% interest in five of his licenses covering 20,700 hectares of highly promising copper and gold land in Jamaica. Mining dates back to the 1500s and 1800s, when Spanish and British mining companies targeted high-grade copper in veins. The company also holds his 2% royalties on Tocvan’s Rogers Creek project.

QP statement

Stephen Hughes, P.Geo. is Vice President, Exploration Division, Director of C3 Metals and a qualified person as defined in National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Hughes has reviewed the technical information in his release of this news and has approved the written disclosures contained herein.

technology program

C3 Metals adheres to strict QA/QC protocols for handling, sampling, sample transport, and analysis. The CoC protocol is designed to ensure the security of samples until they are delivered to the lab.

Samples are analyzed by 4-Acid-resolved ICP-MS finishing of 63 elements, including Pathfinder REE elements containing pulp from samples with reported >1.0% copper re-analyzed by ore grade method. Gold was analyzed by the 30g Fire Assay AAS finish and pulp from samples above 5ppm reanalyzed by the 1kg Screen Fire Assay was reported. We insert blanks and certified reference standards into the sample sequence for quality control.
