The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) is proud to announce the donation of a Type 1 fire engine to the Oatman Fire District in Mohave County, Arizona.
This donation comes as part of CAFMA's commitment to working with local and statewide fire agencies to improve emergency response preparedness.
The donated fire truck is a 2003 HME with a 1500 GPM pump and 750 gallon water tank.
The vehicle, which previously served as CAFMA's training engine at the Central Arizona Regional Training Academy (CARTA) in Prescott Valley, Arizona, is equipped to meet the operational needs of the Oatman Fire District.
“We are pleased to provide this engine to Oatman Fire,” said Cody Rhodes, CAFMA's Deputy Director of Planning and Logistics. “We understand the importance of having reliable equipment to respond effectively to emergencies, and we believe this donation will strengthen Oatman Fire’s mission to serve our communities.” Masu.”
After CAFMA acquired three new Clean Cab Concept engines, three older Frontline engines were transitioned to the reserve engine fleet.
With this transition, CAFMA identified surplus engines based on length of service and made one remaining engine available for donation.
“CAFMA's donation of this engine, along with essential firefighting equipment, will strengthen our all-volunteer organization's emergency response capabilities,” said Oatman Fire District Fire Chief Gail Robinson. “CAFMA’s dedication to supporting our fellow fire departments, combined with support from other agencies across the state, goes a long way in ensuring the safety of our firefighters and the entire Oatman community.”
This gift underscores CAFMA's commitment to strengthen emergency preparedness, foster collaboration among public safety agencies, and ultimately contribute to the safety and well-being of communities across Arizona.
