Caleb Williams, the highly touted junior quarterback at the University of Southern California (USC), announced Monday afternoon that he is declaring for the NFL Draft.
“Since I was 10 years old, all I ever wanted to do was play football. Without the people who supported me and loved me, that journey would be empty. Forever Fight On and represent Hornsdown4Life. I'm ready to do whatever it takes. I officially declare for the NFL Draft,” Williams tweeted.
First of all, it's hilarious that he randomly took a shot at Texas for no reason while he was in the midst of accomplishing the greatest feat of his career. For the uninitiated, “Hornsdown4Life” refers to the Texas Longhorns celebrating with a horn-down gesture on the field.
Williams also posted a video of late Lakers star Kobe Bryant (rest in peace) explaining his 1996 decision to give up college ball and go straight from high school to the NBA.

“I want to learn how to be the best basketball player in the world, and if I'm going to learn that, I want to learn from the best,” Bryant said in the video. “Kids go to school to become doctors, lawyers, etc. and that's where they study and that's where they study. Still, some are hoping for a fresh start with Williams.
