Calmer winds and warmer temperatures today

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Tuesday was mild and slightly warm, making it a pleasant day for the desert southwest.

A high pressure system is settling near our area, keeping skies clear and winds mild for at least the next few days.

Cold mornings are expected to continue into the weekend with minimum temperatures in the low 30s in some areas.

The afternoon was a little warmer, but still cooler than normal.

Cooler temperatures and more sunshine for at least the next 7 days.

Due to the weather disruption, the Yuma County area will experience strong winds starting tomorrow with localized high winds and gusts of nearly 20-30 mph through Thursday.
