‘Can You Blame Her?’: Doocy Asks KJP Point-Blank When Kamala Harris Decided To Distance Herself From ‘Bidenomics’

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy on Wednesday asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at what point Vice President Kamala Harris decided to distance herself from President Joe Biden's economic policies, known as “Bidenomics.”

With polls showing a majority of voters unhappy with the current state of the economy, Harris is reportedly planning to distance herself from Biden's unpopular economic positions, particularly on inflation, Axios reported. Reported Jean-Pierre, speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, suggested Harris was involved in Biden's economic policies to benefit the United States.

“When did you know VP Harris wanted to distance herself from 'Bidennomics'?…Axios is now reporting that VP Harris wants to distance herself from President Biden's unpopularity on economic policy. Can you blame her?” Doocy asked.

“Are you aware that this is the Biden-Harris administration,” Jean-Pierre responded, “and that this is the Biden-Harris administration and that she is the vice president?”

Doocy suggested Biden's economic policies would still make him the top Democratic candidate. Jean-Pierre asserted that Biden and Harris are “fighting hard” to strengthen the middle class and argued that the Republican Party's so-called “MAGAnomics” will fuel inflation. “But would you at least acknowledge that if Bidennomics had been more popular, President Biden would still have been the nominee?” Doocy asked.

“I won't get into the polls,” Jean-Pierre said, “but what I'm saying is that Bidenomics is something that both the president and the vice president have been working on. You call it 'Bidenomics,' but we're saying the president is going to pursue a bottom-up, middle-out economic agenda, making sure that the middle class isn't left behind and that he puts equity at the center of it.”

Axios reports that Harris has been trying to redefine herself throughout the campaign, including by developing a plan to combat inflation, one of the Biden administration's most devastating issues. Vice President Harris is set to outline her plan to lower housing, food and health care costs for the middle class and “combat corporate price gouging” at a rally in Raleigh, Wisconsin on Friday.

“MAGAnomics is very different. [Biden nor Harris] “What we believe is doing the opposite of what we want to do for the American people. That's the difference,” Jean-Pierre continued.

The New York Times/Siena vote Saturday's poll also found Trump leading Harris 53% to 46% on the state of the economy in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. investigation A Financial Times poll found that Harris outperformed Trump on the economy, 42% to 41%, even though nearly half of respondents said Biden's policies had a “harmful effect on the economy.”

Republican nominee Donald Trump on Saturday accused Harris of “copying” his idea to end the tip tax on service workers. Harris campaign spokeswoman Adrienne Elrod told CNN on Tuesday that Harris' “tip tax” proposal is part of “her platform,” but that she continues to support many of Biden's economic policies.
