In a chat shared to Twitter Spaces on Aug. 6, Cardi B opened up about the intense medical scare she experienced.
She said she almost lost her unborn child because of the incident.
“I had a really bad accident. I don't know how it happened, but, man, it wasn't a small thing, it really hurt,” she said, stumbling to explain the crisis, without revealing her actual diagnosis. “It doesn't happen that often, but it got so big that it really paralyzed me,” she said. “And because of that small thing, I almost missed the birth of my little baby.”

She mixed some light humor into a serious discussion.
“I'm gonna make this big fuss so I can get more morphine,” Cardi B said. “Morphine to calm me down! I don't care!”
