Son, what have you done?
College football quarterback Carson Beck was once a top NFL prospect. I saw him before this season. suffer a catastrophic injuryBeck became the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft. But now, instead of declaring for the draft and turning professional, he takes the next step in his illustrious career. transfer From Georgia State to the University of Miami.
What about the prey? His transfer seems to be partly because of his girlfriend, Hannah Cavinder, who plays basketball in college.
It seems romantic, at least on the surface. In an act of dedication and love, the boy gives up everything for the girl, including his game, future glory, and a spot in the national championship. But is this really the case?
Cabinder is a social media influencer along with her twin sister Hayley. If you’re a woman and a social media influencer, there’s a good chance you’ll become famous for posting photos of your thirst traps and booty on Instagram. Much the same is true for the Cavinder twins. The man does not follow the Cavinder twins on social media because he is a fan of the University of Miami basketball program. Men follow them because they want to watch softcore porn.

Here we have Beck, leaving behind Georgia, the SEC, the pinnacle of college ball, and giving it all up in a transfer. In college, sure he’ll rake in that NIL cash, but will his game improve? Will he be able to win the national championship? Can he be a top NFL prospect again?
Probably not. He will be with this girl, but he will never reach the heights he could have reached before the injury and surgery.
Philosopher Nassim Taleb’s quote, “Love without sacrifice is theft,” couldn’t be more true. Loving someone requires sacrifice. Whether it’s moving to a new part of the country, quitting your job to spend more time with your kids, or playing golf or drinking with friends (just kidding). (Related: The latest celebrity marriage is a win for ordinary men everywhere)
Yet, you also want to make sure you are making sacrifices for the right people. If you’re making huge sacrifices for a popular influencer on social media, you could end up getting burned. In today’s society, if there’s one woman you’d want to avoid dating or falling in love with, it’s the social media influencer woman. Her Instagram feed is one craving trap after another.
I’m worried about Beck’s future. Nothing good will come from dating a social media influencer. This could be the story of a boy who sacrifices everything for a girl who just wants to use him for influence and post more lust traps online. To attract attention from creepy strangers. It’s really tragic.
