Casey Rogers named Deputy Director of External Affairs and Strategic Communication for the Alabama National Guard.

The Alabama State Guard has named Casey Rogers as the new vice-president for foreign affairs and strategic communications. Previously, Rogers headed foreign affairs for Governor Kay Ivey and now envisions her responsibilities in this new position.

Major General David Prickett, an aide to the Alabama National Guard, noted Rogers’ vast experience in fostering strong partnerships as a significant reason for her selection. He stressed that connecting Alabama National Guard officials with leaders at various levels is crucial to addressing emerging threats and challenges.

In her former role at the governor’s office, Rogers acted as a key federal and defense liaison, playing a vital part in policy-making, legislative relations, and stakeholder communications. She notably worked with the Alabama National Guard to enhance ties with Romania, promoting broader government cooperation. This initiative even included educational exchanges between Auburn University and a Romanian university in 2024.

Rogers holds a double degree from the University of Alabama and is also a graduate of Leadership Alabama’s Mine Initiative Class VII. Her experience spans roles in organizations like the Alabama Farmers Federation, service under former US representative Marthal Robbie, and work with Pioneer Electric Cooperative, particularly in policy and communication.

This new role represents a significant transition for Rogers, as she shifts from the governor’s office to a key position in the Alabama Guard, aiming to bolster relationships between military and civilian sectors.
