Cavanaugh secures landslide victory in Republican reelection bid as PSC president

Alabama Public Service Commission Chairman Twinkle Kavanaugh easily secured the Republican nomination Tuesday night. His campaign, which received more than 60% of the vote, described the victory as a clear mandate from the people of Alabama: “More Trump.” Biden is less. Good luck Twinkle for Alabama.

“I am thrilled with our victory and deeply grateful to the people of Alabama who are standing up against the Biden administration's harmful and nonsensical energy policies,” Kavanaugh said. “I am honored to share my ballot with President Trump, who truly understands the need for 'Drill Baby Drill,' the path to energy independence, and the formula to reignite economic dynamism. I'm a leader.

“Together, we can restore the economic shine we saw during his tenure.”

His campaign said Tuesday's success also reflects “the lies and false narratives of radical socialist environmentalists promoting the Biden administration's harmful energy policies that threaten to hurt Alabama families and destroy our economy.” He pointed out that it was achieved regardless.

Kavanaugh was first elected in 2010. There will be no competition in the November 5th general election.
