CBP Officers Cut The Cheese, Find Cocaine

Cocaine was found by a Texas CBP officer who cut the cheese.

Cocaine hidden inside several cheese wheels was reportedly seized by US Customs and Border Protection agents at the Presidio port of entry on Thursday, according to local media reports.

“Smugglers sometimes try to hide seemingly harmless contraband to deflect suspicion,” said CBP Presidio Port Authority Daniel Mercado. “Thorough and extensive testing by CBP personnel prevented this unusual amount of drug from reaching its destination.”

A pickup truck arriving from Mexico via a vehicle lane has been flagged for secondary inspection. CBP personnel subsequently found the undeclared cheese wheel, inspected it and scanned it with an X-ray system machine. After screening, the item was marked as suspicious.

Drugs were found when CBP agents cut into the cheese.

The cocaine and vehicle were seized by CBP agents. The 22-year-old driver was turned over to the Homeland Security Bureau of Investigation for criminal charges of attempted smuggling.

This follows the discovery of cocaine in the White House after Hunter Biden visited the president on July 2. His eldest son is notorious for his history of cocaine use and crack addition. The Secret Service closed its investigation into the white powder substance on July 13 after failing to identify a suspect.
