Celebrities are flooding social media with tears, heated updates, and stories of pure devastation as they watch their multimillion-dollar homes burn in the inferno of the Pacific Palisades wildfires.
As fires ravage one of California’s wealthiest neighborhoods, stars are coming forward to share their stories. “Vampire” and “Once Upon a Time in America” actor James Woods breaks down in tears on CNN as he reveals he has lost his home. “One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” Woods told CNN’s Pamela Brown. Tragic stories of loss and displacement have been reported as personal stories by reality TV stars, famous actors, and singers.

“All My Children” soap star Cameron Matheson confirmed on his Instagram Reel on January 8 that his home was gutted in a fire. He shared a video of the aftermath showing him walking through the area where his home once stood as the sky cleared. An orange flame lights up. Thick smoke covered the sky in the background, and the remains of his home were visibly charred. He showed fans the charred building, which was still burning.
“We are safe. But this is what remains of our beautiful home,” Matheson wrote alongside the video, adding, “Our home is where our children are raised and the children we hope to one day raise ourselves.” This is the house I was looking for.”
He wasn’t the only one to witness a lifetime of memories burn out.

He captioned the video with the words, “A nightmare come true.”
Star Wars star Mark Hamill has revealed he is evacuating Malibu, calling the fire “the scariest fire since 1993” and saying his family is “evacuating for their lives.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt posted an emotional message on Instagram.
“I have no words. As I watch everything burn, all I can do is pray and hold out as much hope as I can for my home and my children. To all the first responders who fought so hard for all of us. Thank you to everyone. Thank you to all the friends who have reached out to me in the last 24 hours, and to the new people who have hugged me through tears.
