Celine Dion surprised fans with a surprise appearance at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
The music icon has not made many public appearances since revealing her devastating battle with stiff person syndrome. She took to the stage to present the Album of the Year award, which went to Taylor Swift.

Dion appeared in an oversized brown trench coat, looking comfortable and confident on stage.
Although she walked unassisted and remained standing in front of the crowd, Swift slowly made her way to the stage to receive the night's biggest honor.
Dion's loyal fans captured the moment, and the internet exploded with fanfare.
“We must never take for granted the immense love and joy that music brings to people and people around the world,” Dion said.

“And now, I am thrilled to accept the Grammy Award that two legends, Diana Ross and Sting, presented to me 27 years ago,” she said.
“These are great nominees for album of the year,” she said, rhyming the names of the nominees perfectly.

Stiff-person syndrome is described as a “rare, acquired neurological disorder that most often causes progressive muscle stiffness (rigidity) and recurrent painful muscle spasms.” National Rare Disease Organization.

Fans expressed relief at seeing her looking confident and healthy on stage despite her serious health issues, and showered the star with words of love, support and admiration on social media.
