Celtics Coach Joe Mazzulla Rocks ‘Jesus, Coffee and Jiu-Jitsu’ Shirt In Postgame Press Conference

Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzula attended his postgame press conference Thursday night wearing a T-shirt that read Jesus, Coffee, and Jiu-Jitsu.

Speaking to reporters after the blowout win over the Miami Heat, Mazzula explained his fashion choices in simple terms. “Her shirts are my three favorite things outside of my family: Jesus, coffee, and jiu-jitsu. She has three things that are very important in her life.”

It's great to see more celebrities in sports who aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe in.

Houston Texans rookie quarterback CJ Stroud recently made headlines for talking about the important role his faith plays in his life. Now, Mazzula stands with the Celtics representing one of the most iconic brands in sports and insists Jesus is one of the most important parts of his life and is simply amazing.

His faith in Jesus clearly served him well as the Celtics came off a blowout loss to the Heat and won the game 143-110. (Related: Bucks' Doc Rivers contract details revealed, could make this the worst hire in NBA history)

As for the other two elements of the shirt, we don't need to mention the coffee, and his passion for jiu-jitsu is also well-documented. He often describes this practice as an art.

“What art really gives us is the study of transitions. There are transitions and decisions in games and seasons, so that really helps,” he said. Said ESPN in August.
