Since becoming the head coach of the Boston Celtics, Joe Mazzula has had no qualms about letting people know how he feels. And even though I’m a Miami Heat fan and it’s against my nature to like anything Beantown, I love it! And now let’s take another look at yet another great example.
During a recent appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, the NBA champion skipper offered some passionate thoughts you’d never hear from your average coach. If it were up to Mazula, he would introduce rules that allow players to fight each other and impose penalties, similar to hockey. Mazzula mentioned sports entertainment, and frankly, I couldn’t agree more with that idea. This is great.
“I think the biggest thing we take money away from people from an entertainment standpoint is that we can’t fight anymore,” Mazzula said. “I wish they could bring back the fighting.”
