CHARLIE KIRK: President Trump’s Shock-And-Awe Strategy Is The Way To Overwhelm The Left

In 2008, President Obama signed 19 executive orders in his first 100 days in office.

At the start of his second term, Donald Trump surpassed that number within 12 hours. If this trend continues, 42 executive orders in Joe Biden’s first 100 days will be passed within a week.

You’ve probably seen the headlines and tweets by now. And in fact, there were so many tweets that I’ve probably already forgotten some of them. DEI departments have been shut down across the federal government and employees have been furloughed indefinitely. The executive order abolished birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants. The United States withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement and the World Health Organization. The new administration has revived efforts to beautify America’s civic architecture. The Pride flag was torn from the flagpole of the American embassy. The JFK, RFK, and MLK assassination files are being made public after being hidden for half a century. The military was deployed to the border and ICE was brought in to remove illegal immigrants from the interior.

And, of course, there will be pardons for politically persecuted patriots and pro-life activists jailed by the Biden administration on January 6th.

I missed it quite a bit. I had to do it because there’s so much going on. The new government is the most aggressive, ambitious and prepared of any conservative government you or I have ever had.

And Washington was completely unprepared for it.

Eight years ago, the first day of President Trump’s first term was a bit shaky. It says a lot that even the world’s most confident president himself would admit that things weren’t perfect. Hundreds of key HR positions had no candidates, many of whom were not aligned with MAGA policies. New arrivals struggled to understand how the government worked and what they needed to do to overcome a hostile bureaucracy. By the time the new government was gaining a foothold, the so-called “resistance” was fabricating Russia rumors as a way to paralyze it and steal momentum.

However, there is a reason why President Trump is an excellent politician and businessman. He looked at what happened in his first term and when he made his triumphant return this fall, he was prepared.

President Trump’s frenetic campaign not only indicates greater preparation and ambition than in his first term. This is a really great strategy. This is an application of “shock and awe” to politics. By acting so decisively and quickly, President Trump has effectively overpowered the media’s ability to shape and direct the news cycle.

Think about it. On the evening of January 21st, President Trump announced that he was repealing Executive Order 11246. This executive order dates back to the LBJ administration and required affirmative action not only within the federal government but also for companies receiving federal contracts. . In fact, as stated in Chris Caldwell’s book, era of rights, Jeremy Carl’s unprotected class, and other books, the order became a legal bedrock. Required Racism in countless areas of American life. President Trump’s order justifies that mistake, abolishes federal affirmative action, and recommits America to the historic principle that all people should be judged on their individual merits. .

It was bold and incredibly important – and the night it fell, It wasn’t even the lead article on CNN’s website. Instead, CNN focused on President Trump’s J6 pardon. Meanwhile, newspapers such as the New York Times and the Washington Post were paying attention to President Trump’s immigration issues. None of them were prepared to react immediately if this order were to drop a few months from now.

Over the next few days, regime media gathered enough information to give the order some attention. . . By then, however, Trump was already bombarding them with even bolder moves to transform the American government. His affirmative action orders were drowned out by deploying troops to the border, closing DEI offices, and ordering the release of the JFK files.

Even on a 24-hour cable news station, there are only 24 hours in a day. Legacy media still has the old power to set stories, but there are limits to how many you can set at once. They can be angry about the J6 pardon. They may tell you to be upset about losing your birthright citizenship. They may try to manipulate you with sob stories about illegal aliens facing deportation. And yes, they can try to argue that prohibiting racial discrimination in federal employment is “racist.” However, it turned out to be very difficult to do all of these at once. And if they try to do so, they will quickly be blindsided by the next order, policy, or declaration from an administration that has learned the value of speed, energy, and constant attack.

The regime of “shock and awe” will continue.
