More fantasy owners will bite the dust!
In the first quarter of Sunday's game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers, the former lost their superstar wide receiver. Lasi rice — and potentially throughout the season.
What's even crazier is that Rice's injury happened after his own quarterback patrick mahomes A hard blow to the knee resulted in the 24-year-old being dragged off the field and then… taken in Locker room. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Rice may have suffered a torn ACL, and the Chiefs are concerned about that scenario. Rice will undergo further tests to confirm a torn ACL, but at this point it looks like Rice's campaign will end just a few weeks into the new season.
Things pick up after Mahomes makes a successful interception on Los Angeles cornerback christian fulton As he tried to return it for a touchdown, Mahomes attempted to tackle him. However, he instead hit Rice's knee. We're talking directly to that sucker (ouch).

And when we not only saw the hit itself, but also heard this from Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, we knew things were going to be bad right away.
