Detectives from the Mojave County Sheriff’s Department have arrested Jonathan Thomas Prescott, 35, of Fort Mojave for one felony count of sexual misconduct with a minor. On April 12, a representative spokesperson about a possible sex crime he addressed to Valle View Medical Center in Mohave Valley. Upon arrival, they contacted her 18-year-old victim and her mother. Her mother advised that she was at the hospital to perform a pregnancy test. After telling her she might be pregnant, the victim told her mother that the baby’s father was his stepfather, Jonathan Prescott.

Before going to the hospital, the victim told her mother that Jonathan had had sexual contact with her since he was 13 years old. The victim’s mother said she found some inappropriate photos of her daughter on one of her Prescott online accounts. Her mother advised that Prescott was aware that the victim was autistic and had multiple learning disabilities.Detectives spoke with the victim and reported information from her mother. It was confirmed.

Jonathan Prescott was arrested and transferred to the Mojave County Adult Detention Facility without incident. This investigation is ongoing.
