Children’s of Alabama Grand Prix set for this weekend in Birmingham



A big weekend for motorsports is coming up in the Magic City.

Thousands of fans from across the state are expected to attend the Alabama Children's Indy Grand Prix, which runs from April 26 to 28. The race is part of the NTT IndyCar Series and represents the pinnacle of open-wheel racing, attracting elite drivers from around the world.

Now in its 14th year, the event will be held at Barber Motorsports Park, home of the historic Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.

Last year's race raised more than $350,000 for Alabama Children's. The event is hosted by The Medical Properties Trust and sponsored by AmFirst.

Country music sensation Riley Green has been announced as the race's grand marshal.

Tickets for the Alabama Children's Indy Grand Prix are currently available for purchase at: IndiaGeneral admission tickets start at just $25, offering the best value for an unforgettable race weekend. Children 15 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a ticketed adult, making this event an ideal family outing. As a beneficiary of the event, Children's of Alabama will receive a portion of ticket proceeds.
