City Collecting Public Input on Future Animal Shelter | The Buzz -The buzz in Bullhead City – Lake Havasu City – Kingman – Arizona – California

BULLHEAD CITY, Arizona, June 9, 2023 – The City of Bullhead City is soliciting public input to inform design choices for a project to convert the former Mojave Valley Daily News building into the new Bullhead City Animal Sanctuary. Paper copies of the survey are also available during business hours at City Hall, Bullhead Senior Campus, and the current City of Bullhead Animal Shelter.

In addition to the survey, starting Monday, June 12, Bullhead City Welfare Director Jeff Tipton will be giving daily tours of the future City of Bullhead Animal Shelter at 2435 Miracle Mile beginning at 4:00 pm. Tours will be held Monday through Friday the week of June 12, and he Tuesday through Friday the week of June 20, once daily at 4:00 PM.

“Tours are open to anyone who comes,” Tipton said. “When people give us feedback on our plans to transform this building into the new Bullhead City Animal Sanctuary, we want them to see the facility for themselves and have a solid understanding of the space we are working on. is.”

Public input is an important next step in the city’s efforts to renovate buildings.

“We want to make sure we’re designing and building this for the community,” Bullhead City Manager Toby Cotter said of the animal shelter.

The city is working with the architectural firm Selberg and Associates to design a new Bullhead City Animal Sanctuary. The data collected from the survey will be used to make design decisions and produce a final plan for submission to the City Council.

“We know our residents care deeply about animals and we work hard to make sure it’s done right,” said city manager Toby Cotter. “The public will have multiple opportunities to hear their views on this matter.”
