City Manager Provides Council with Update on Camino Del Sola Improvement Project Development

This article summarizes key points discussed in a recent council meeting in Nogales, Arizona, where city leaders emphasized the significance of mental health awareness. This reflects the city’s focus on tackling mental health challenges in the community.

The meeting also provided updates on the Camino Del Sola Sewer, Water, and Street Improvement Project. Mayor Juan Guerra assured the board that the project is adhering to its contract with INOVA, highlighting that there will be no overspending or timeline deviations. He stated, “I’m bound by the contract and will not allow deviations,” reinforcing the city’s commitment to financial accountability.

Even though INOVA representatives were absent, Guerra confirmed they had been informed about the necessity of their attendance. He mentioned that he and other city officials were ready to present updates on the project’s status, along with a contingency plan.

Furthermore, the council heard from Pat Reisner regarding the Hermosa project. Reisner addressed community concerns about this development and urged residents to engage with the project team, stressing the value of fact-based discussions. “We have a strong record of making changes to projects based on community feedback,” he noted, emphasizing transparency and collaboration.

As Nogales continues to focus on these critical projects, the Council aims for active community engagement and raising mental health awareness, fostering a supportive atmosphere for all its residents.
