KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman is excited to announce that we have officially entered negotiations for our next City Manager. After working with MGT's U.S. Government Human Resources Executive Search Consultants over the past several months to find the best candidate for the position, local candidate Tim Walsh came out on top.
Tim Walsh, a Kingman native who currently works as director of development services for Mohave County, was officially appointed at the end of Tuesday night's executive committee meeting. Mr. Walsh brings his 15 years of experience in local government to the City of Kingman and brings his lifelong knowledge and dedication to the community he calls home.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Mr. Walsh assume the role of Kingman's top leader,” said Mayor Ken Watkins. “His track record of reliable, skilled and collaborative leadership demonstrates a leadership style and level of expertise that will benefit the community, City Council and City staff.
Following successful negotiations, Mr. Walsh's contract will be placed on the agenda of a future council meeting for approval and acceptance. He will begin his new role in April.
