sedona news – The City of Sedona is seeking applications for two seats on the Planning and Zoning Commission as two terms on the current Commission near the end of their term.
Established by the city council, this voluntary body is made up of seven citizens appointed to play key roles in the city’s planning process. This committee serves as an advisor to the City Council on land use, growth and development issues. The commission’s duties include making recommendations to the City Council regarding community plan updates, land development law changes, property zone changes, and subdivision applications. In addition, the Board makes final decisions on conditional license and development review applications.
Applicants must reside in the Sedona city limits and have an interest, experience, or knowledge in land use or related fields, including but not limited to architecture, construction, landscaping, and planning.
The usage period for both seats begins on November 1, 2023 and ends on October 31, 2026.
