CITY OF BULLHEAD, Arizona, January 12, 2023 – City of Bullhead staff and contractors will work on the following projects throughout the city the week of January 16th.
- The city’s public works crew and volunteer contractors are finishing up work at the North Veterans Memorial center around the recently added howitzer. The city plans to open a memorial hall in February.
- Contractors continue to work on new amenities that will be added to the northern end of the community park. A contractor will be on site next week to install rubber flooring on the playground. The entire project at the northern end of the community park is expected to be completed and open to the public by summer 2023.
- The Bullhead City Utilities crew cleans sewers along Sun River Rd, Florence Ave, Landon Dr W, Sunbeam Dr, and Sunburst Dr. Sewer cleaning is also done in some vacant lots on McCormick Blvd. Sewer cleaning is a regular annual maintenance project to keep your drainage system working optimally.
- Ken Fovargue Park’s splash pad will be closed and two new Ramadas, three new water features and artificial turf will be installed on site. The city expects the project to last about a month.
There will be no mud clearing or other pavement preservation work by city officials during the week of January 16th. Municipal Highway Department officials receive training. The latest information and schedule for city slurry maintenance can be found at any time at: www.bullheadicity.com/csmp.
McCormick Construction recently completed paving a parking lot at Gary Keith Park.
A beautification project was recently completed involving the landscaping of the road on the southeast corner of Goldrush Rd and Ramar Rd.
The city recommends that only human waste, toilet paper, and gray water be flushed down the drain. All other waste must be disposed of in other ways so as not to damage city infrastructure.
Be careful when navigating the city work zone. Obey posted signs and traffic control devices.
