Chubb has been working on his rehab since suffering a serious left knee injury in Week 2 of last season. The injury forced Chubb to miss the entire 2023 season and required two surgeries. In September 2023, Chubb underwent surgery to repair his MCL, meniscus and medial capsule. He then underwent a second surgery in late November to repair his ACL.
Cleveland expects the 28-year-old Chubb to compete there in 2024, but it's unclear when he'll return. General manager Andrew Berry said in late July that the running back is still “a little ways away.” Just days before those comments, Chubb was spotted sprinting and doing agility drills after practice.

Look on the bright side, Cleveland. At least you have LeBron… well… that pesky Akron thing kind of gets in the way. But still! A ray of hope!
