Coconino High School junior receives Adventure Advocate Award | Navajo-Hopi Observer

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Coconino High School senior Elena Klopfenstein was recognized for her work with the Grand Canyon Trust's Rising Leaders Program at the annual Appreciation Gala held Nov. 9 in Flagstaff. It was done.

For her efforts, Klopfenstein received the Adventure Advocate Award from the Grand Canyon Regional Intertribal Intergenerational Stewardship Expedition (RIISE). The RIISE program is a cultural river trip aimed at the local youth community.
