Colorado High School Basketball Coach Suspended For Alleged Antisemitism Against Jewish Team

The coach of a high school basketball in Colorado was said to have cut the Palestinian flag, and was paused, and later on the other side of the Jewish school following the recent match between the two. It is said that he refused to shake hands with the head coach.

I will talk 9 News In Denver, Lotus stated that head coaches branded as coach O set up Palestine flags before the match. Lotus said that the coach responded to the Palestinian flag before heading to the handshake line after the match. Later, he was reportedly refused to shake hands with all the coaches of Denverer.

“He grabs the flag and puts it on his neck,” said Deon Jackson, a Lotus school athletic director. “I saw the intention at that time.”

Lotus principal, Emrek Bakito, announced the suspension of coaches and assistant coaches, according to the New York Post.

“It has nothing to do with Lotus,” said Bakito. “It’s not what we represent us, we repeat, but we are about respect and diversity. That is what we celebrate. That is what we are proud of.”

Brandon Latiner, part of the Jewish Community Relations Council, accused O and his actions. New York Post Interview.

“I think everyone in the Jewish community knows that the tide of anti -Semitism has been increasing since October 7,” said Denver Torler. “And we’ve seen it here and schools all over the country on many different opportunities.”
