Cochise County, Arizona (KRDO) — A Colorado Springs veterinarian is facing criminal charges for allegedly attempting cooperative sex with a minor in Arizona.
The Department of Homeland Security told KRDO that Scott Bowmanis was arrested on May 10. A cell phone was seized during that arrest, after which Bowmanis was charged with aggravated solicitation of minors, solicitation of minors for sexual exploitation, and attempted sexual activity. minor.
“Douglas’ Special Agent for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) launched an investigation into Scott Bowmanis of Colorado on May 2,” the Department of Homeland Security said.
The investigation into Volmanis was led by HSI Douglas, the Sierra Vista Police Department (SVPD), the U.S. Army CID and the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, the department said.
HSI said the investigation was part of a larger operation to “identify and arrest persons who are attempting to sexually exploit children in and around southern Arizona.”
