11-month-old baby declared dead after drunk driving accident near Ruslauf Street
Tucson, Arizona (March 5, 2024) – Tuesday morning colton ortiz A man has been arrested for causing a fatal drunk driving accident on Interstate 10.
Officers were called to the scene near Rutlauf Street around 8:30 a.m. on February 27th.
Investigators said Ortiz was heading east when he struck a 34-year-old man. Marquise Reese A person was walking with an 11-month-old child in a stroller.
Responding personnel transported Reese and the infant to a nearby hospital, where the infant succumbed to his injuries.
After a preliminary mission, officers arrested 32-year-old Ortiz and booked him into the Pima County Jail on charges of manslaughter, aggravated assault, and aggravated DUI.
