Comedian Hamish Blake posted a selfie on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, informing fans that he had to undergo emergency surgery due to a cancer scare.

Blake showed 1.2 million followers In a close-up of his forehead, he said he had to undergo surgery to remove skin cancer, which left him with five stitches above his right eye. “I've had a little facelift,” he joked. “I'll have the other side done in a few weeks.” The TV presenter then explained the real reason she had to undergo surgery and advised fans to keep their skin healthy.

“Okay, that's not true. This is a reminder from me to anyone who needs it (and I mean everyone) to get their skin checked every six months,” he wrote with a photo of a battle scar. he wrote in another selfie.

The Australian comic and Lego Masters Australia host assured fans he was recovering and was fine, but also made sure to address the seriousness of his illness. According to News.au.com, he noted that experiencing this health crisis is a wake-up call, urging others to take a more active role in ensuring they monitor their skin health. He said he encouraged them to fulfill their goals.

“Everything was perfectly fine, by the way, but I'm glad she was caught so quickly,” he told fans.

There are no signs on Blake's social media of any previous problems, and it's not entirely clear when she was diagnosed with skin cancer.
