Congressman Ciscomani Establishes Citizens Advisory Council

A diverse group of community leaders reaffirms Congressman’s commitment to represent all of Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District.

TUCSON — Rep. Juan Ciscomani today announced the formation of a diverse group of community leaders to serve as a healthy commission when representing Arizona’s 6th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.

Rep. Ciscomani’s 40-member Citizen Advisory Committee is made up of men and women throughout Southeast Arizona and includes Republicans, Democrats and independents from the private and public sectors.

Rep. Siskomani said: “These community leaders play an important role in keeping us on track and delivering results throughout the district. We look forward to working closely with you.”

The council includes job creators, educators, nonprofit leaders, ranchers, water professionals, law enforcement agencies, health care professionals, developers, and both rural and urban districts. Includes officials. Within the district he is made up of Republicans, Democrats and independents from five counties (Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima and Pinal).

The Council will remain connected, active, and accessible across the district by listening to a diverse group of key stakeholders who are focused on achieving results, said Rep. Siskomani. help fulfill his promise to do so.

With Rep. Siskomani serving on the Appropriations Committee, council guidance plays an important role. Rep. Ciscomani was named to the influential House Appropriations Committee this week, becoming the only Republican to serve on the high-profile committee. Representative Ciscomani will be a valuable voice for Arizona on all issues related to government funding. Her priorities for Congressman Siskomani include advancing fiscal responsibility, bringing transparency to federal spending, and protecting her dream of being an American for all.

Cochise County Sheriff Mark Danells, Pima County Supervisor Sharon Bronson, and Dr. Eric Cornides will co-chair Rep. Ciscomani’s Citizens Advisory Committee.

“Mark, Sharon and Eric are consummate professionals and respected community leaders,” said Ciscomani Rep. “They have a proven track record of representing our region in their respective fields. We are honored and grateful to have them as Co-Chairs of this Advisory Board.”

Each of the council’s three co-chairs expressed a desire to help Rep. Ciscomani stay on top of public policy issues in the district.

“Juan has been a strong leader in our community for many years and understands our priorities well, and the formation of this advisory board is proof of that,” said Sheriff Dunnells. “While I have seen his leadership firsthand, he has always advocated for law enforcement. We ensure that all persons in our company have appropriate representatives who are worthy of them.

Bronson, the Pima County Supervisor, agreed.

“Juan’s appointment of politically diverse members to his advisory board demonstrates his strong commitment to working with all people and his willingness to focus on delivering results for our district. “Throughout his career, Southern Arizona has always counted on Juan to listen carefully to concerns and issues from all perspectives. I look forward to working closely with him.”

Dr. Cornides said: I have known Juan personally and professionally for many years. As a father and professional who grew up in this community, I am honored to be able to raise my voice on this council and help our new congressman serve the families in our community. And I’m thrilled to join him in fighting to defend the American Dream for generations to come. ”

Rep. Ciscomani took the oath of office early Saturday morning along with other members of the 118th Congress.
