A new addition to San Manuel’s local food scene is Phat Flavors, opened by owner and chef Justin Mosholder.
“I mean, Phat Flavors are pretty hot and tempting, and I started about three years ago. At the same time, I was executive chef for the large Compass Group, which oversees private schools in Colorado.I always wanted to run my own business,” Mossholder said. “We are pushing the boundaries of flavor.”
When asked about being the newest restaurant in San Manuel, Justin said: Myself and his wife moved here in his June and had the opportunity to purchase the building. I have been in the food and beverage industry for over 25 years. I have done this for a long time and for many. And so I decided to take that leap and open our own restaurant. Our long-term goal is to build this place, but also to do what we can for the city of San Manuel. “
They sponsor chili cookoffs, car shows and little league programs.
Phat Flavors are made as fresh and in-house as possible. The restaurant’s menu offers a wide variety of staples such as burgers and chicken wings, as well as salads, sandwiches, breakfasts, and even weekly specials. Justin likes to keep things fresh, so he said the menu changes often, but not staple items.
