The couple said they were forced to sit next to the body of a dead woman for hours while on a Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne, Australia to Italy.
Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Collin said they left for their dream vacation in Italy. Speaking to Allison Langdon of Australia’s news program “A Time,” they said the woman collapsed in the aisle next to them and died while flying. Visibly shaken couples offer the option of flying staff to place the deceased woman’s body next to them, place a blanket on her, and swap their seats for the remaining long flight I said I wouldn’t.
“There were some spare seats that we could see around us,” Ring said. “I can’t believe they told us to stay.”

According to the ring, there were “3.5 to 4 hours remaining on the flight.”
He also said that the crew told him to shuffle one seat so that the woman’s body could be placed next to him.
Colin spoke in a volatile voice about the alleged incident, saying that she realized how uncomfortable she was and was encouraged to move the free seat next to her by fellow passengers returning to the line. Ta. Ring said he had to endure the rest of the flight with the corpse right next to him.
“We need protocols to look after our customers,” Colin said in an interview.

Ring said his situation was even more unbearable when the plane landed and the medical crew exposed the deceased woman’s face.
“The ambulance officer began pulling the blanket from the woman right next to me. I was there and I could see her face,” he said. “It wasn’t – it wasn’t good.”
Ring and Colin claim that despite multiple attempts to contact them about the issue, they have not been contacted by Qatar Airways. (Related: Video shows a Delta Air Lines plane flipped upside down at the airport)
Qatar Airways A statement has been issued “First and foremost, our thoughts lie in the families of passengers who have sadly passed away on our flight. We apologize for the inconvenience or pain that this incident may have caused, and our policy.” We are in the process of following the steps to contact passengers.”
