According to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Scottsdale, Arizona – Scottsdale, Arizona – has closed the southbound lane of State Route 87 in the Salt River Pima Lico Pine Indian Community.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) confirmed that one person was killed in a crash. The agency did not release any further information.

The closure is near McDowell Road.
Adot said drivers should expect delays and seek alternative routes.
There is no estimated time to resume southbound lanes. Northbound lanes are not affected by crashes.
