Join Ranger Kevin as we seek out the plants and animals that live in this precious riparian zone. Click program title for more details.
A lovely morning hike with Ranger Kevin for 2-3 miles on the Palm Lake, Mesquite Meander, Lion’s and Willow Walkway trails. Trails are mostly easy, with few sections of loose rock, sandy soil and very little elevation change. We’ll be looking for some of the wildlife, including deer, javelina, birds, and a variety of reptiles known to frequent this rare riparian habitat. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Hats and sunscreen are also highly recommended. Registration is required for this program and group size will be limited to 20 people. Restrooms are available near the Visitor Center. Please no pets.
