Counsell played third base for Chicago. Christopher Morrell Following ESPN's Jesse Rogers' comment that he was “swinging for the lake,” Rogers was referring to Morrell striking out in a key at-bat in Sunday's game between the Cubs and the Arizona Diamondbacks, which Chicago won. 2-1in 10 innings.

But despite the win, Rogers was curious about Morrell and why he took the swing he did. (RELATED: Braves prospect Francisco Vicioso is so bad it forces you to ask, “How the hell did this guy get his job?”)

Well, you see, Counsell didn't do that.

“Oh man, Jesse…oh man,” Counsell responded. “Is that your comment? I think that's a bad take. I think that's a bad take. He's swinging into the lake? That's a bad take.”
