Here, it's just a dodger doing dodger stuff. (LOL)
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney has decided not to take live phone calls from fans on his weekly radio show this season, Clemson newspaper Chapel Fowler reported Monday. (RELATED: 'Illegally recruited': Miami's Chuck Martin slams Alabama for recruiting Graham Nicholson)
Instead, fans will have to email or text the Tigers coach with their questions. The first episode of the 2024 edition of “Tiger Sports Hour with Dabo Swinney,” which will air on the Clemson Athletic Network, will air Monday night at 8 p.m. ET.
The move came after a significant back and forth between Swinney and radio's “Tyler of Spartanburg” in October 2023, which stemmed from Tyler asking Swinney if his salary would be over $1 million. $11 million per season. At that point, Clemson was 4-4 and had just come off an upset loss to NC State.
It's official: Clemson fullback coach Dabo Swinney will no longer take live calls from fans on his weekly radio show.
The new format is called “Tiger Sports Hour with Dabo Sweeney.” Fans can send him questions via text/email. The first show airs tonight at 8 p.m. From 1055TheROAR

The thread I posted earlier this month has the full story and details about the change. Clemson told me that this wasn't just because of the “Tyler from Spartanburg” phone call last year. But listening to Dabo's talk the next day, in my opinion, there were already warning signs. https://t.co/Tk3bEny3bx

Going forward, the official way for fans to submit questions to Swinney will be through The Roar's text line.

Clemson's Dabo Swinney went on a five-minute tirade tonight after being asked by “Tyler from Spartanburg” about his $11.5 million salary and 4-4 season.
“I'm gonna sit here and not let you do anything, no matter how much money I make. Don't talk to me like I'm a 12-year-old…” pic.twitter.com/XvjhZDUd2m

And just like that, “Tyler from Spartanburg” became an instant legend. The guy canceled the entire show format. Crazy!
