Daily Caller reporter Reagan Reese on Tuesday slammed CBS News' ties to the Democratic Party and predicted former President Donald Trump's campaign would “fight back” against allegations of bias given the outlet's plans to host the upcoming vice presidential debate.
Following the first presidential debate between President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, ABC News hosts David Muir and Lindsey Davis came under fire for being biased against the former president after fact-checking the show multiple times that night. On “The War Room,” Reese detailed how CBS News executives had donated to the Biden campaign as the network was expected to host a debate between Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio and Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota.
“So CBS News decided to host the vice presidential debate. It provides leadership alongside its parent organization, Paramount Global. Full of Democratic donors. Some Paramount directors donated thousands of dollars. “They donated significant amounts of money to the Biden campaign in 2020, as well as executives from CBS News,” Reese said.
“Paramount CEO The president of CBS has donated to the Biden campaign before. The president of CBS has donated to the Biden campaign before. What's noteworthy about the CBS president is that she made donations while at ABC News. They haven't donated since then,” Reese continued. “But this is the kind of thing we expect the Trump campaign to do going forward. Especially in the run up to the vice presidential debate. Regarding the controversy at the ABC debate and the perceived bias of its moderators.”
Reiss went on to say how Americans were “stunned” after the ABC News-hosted presidential debate and said he predicted the Trump campaign would “start exposing the bias of CBS.” (RELATED: CBS News executives are full of Democratic donors; they're also hosting the next debate)

“The Trump campaign hit CNN and ABC directly. They discuss their past biases, their ties to the Biden campaign and how they have helped “We've done that in the past,” Reiss said, “and I expect to see that again at the CBS debates, particularly in the future.” Americans wonder what happened at the ABC News debate, and The moderators seem to be in league with Donald Trump. They're only fact-checking Donald Trump. Yet despite Kamala Harris making multiple false statements, they have never fact-checked them.”
“And yes, As the vice presidential debate approaches, it is especially expected. In what will be the final debate of the 2024 presidential election cycle, In the third debate, the Trump campaign will expose CBS' bias, and hopefully they And they will do so using the Daily Caller’s reporting,” Reese continued.
After the presidential debate, X users accused ABC hosts of singling out Trump and repeatedly interrupting him during fact-checks, but Republicans and other politicians have long made claims of bias against Trump and accused Democrats of unfairly covering him.
Democratic political commentators such as Democratic strategist James Carville have previously called for the corporate media to intensify its bias against Trump as the presidential election continues in order to ensure Harris' victory. In a recent interview on “The Sage Steele Show,” Fox News' Maria Bartiromo emphasized that Trump “polarizes so many people” that coverage of him and his administration has been “incredibly unfair.”
