But “Rigged” shows what Democrats really mean when they use this kind of language. The Daily Caller spoke with Hans von Spakovsky, director of the Heritage Foundation's Election Reform Initiative, to explain how the Democratic Party has become so radical.
The first incident to spotlight election integrity occurred in 2000, when a closely contested presidential election included legal battles, recounts, and ultimately a victory for George W. Bush in Florida. won by a margin of 537 votes. Seeing the need to restore trust, Spakovsky explains how both sides came together in good faith to repair the “deep disillusionment” Americans felt with the electoral system. . First, they aim to push for lower age and citizenship requirements to create the “broadest possible base of voters.” Next, they want to “produce as many ballots as possible,” flooding the country with mail-in and absentee ballots that require little to no identification. And the ultimate goal is to “put the ballot in the box,” giving Americans a near-limitless and effortless way to vote.
Of course, the media is trying to cover this up with bait and switch tactics. As Spavosky points out, the question is not whether this will necessarily lead to “widespread” voter fraud. The media assures us that this won't happen, and as 2020 proved so severe, it's difficult to prove. Rather, the question that must be asked is, “Can we conduct this election with confidence?''
As “Rigged” proves, the answer is a resounding no. Democrats once agreed with Republicans on the importance of election integrity. Now they are doing everything they can to undermine it. There is no way to trust a party who claims to be cheating because they are doing everything in their power to make it easier to cheat. And it only gets worse when they attack those who oppose their efforts as a real danger to free and fair elections. There is only one party that poses a “threat to democracy,” and that is not the Republican Party.
