NASCAR fans are outraged by Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s widow and her plan to sell the racing legend’s farmland.

NASCAR fans haven’t been particularly happy with Teresa, nicknamed the “Wicked Witch of the South,” since Dale Sr. died in a 2001 Daytona 500 crash. After Teresa took over her late husband’s race team, the Dale Earnhardt Company. , she refused to give ownership to Dale Jr. According to To Whiskey Riff. Dale Jr. went on to race for Hendrick Motorsports. However, Teresa refused to use his famous #8, so he was forced to use #88 instead. Recently, Charlotte’s Carowinds Amusement Park Roller coaster name changed“The Intimidator” featured Dale Sr.’s famous black #3 car because the license agreement with Dale Earnhardt Inc. was not renewed. NASCAR fans criticized her, Whiskey Riff reported.
I’m not a NASCAR fan myself. Growing up in suburban Connecticut, NASCAR was not a sport I watched growing up. But I have a lot of respect for this sport because I consider it one of the great bastions of Southern culture. Like baseball, it’s a true American pastime.
